Bentley Continental GT, GTC & Flying Spur RNS 810 Multimedia Repair

Stuck on the Bentley logo, rebooting, freezing or no longer responding?

We repair selected original Bentley RNS 810 multimedia units used in Continental GT, Continental GTC and Flying Spur models.

This is an original-unit repair service. We do not replace your dashboard with an aftermarket screen or sell an unknown used unit. Your unit is inspected, repaired where possible and tested before return.

Is this the correct Bentley multimedia system?

This service is for selected Bentley RNS 810 multimedia units from the 3W0 035 017* part-number family.

They are fitted to selected Continental GT, Continental GTC and Flying Spur models.

Part numbers can vary by software, vehicle specification and model year. Please send a clear photo of the label on the unit before removing or shipping it.

This service is not for Mulsanne MMI, Bentayga systems or later MIB units.

The unit label is the safest way to confirm whether your Bentley is suitable for this repair.

  • Bentley logo keeps appearing or the unit keeps rebooting

The screen may show the Bentley logo, restart repeatedly or never load fully. Sometimes it works for a short time after the car has been parked, then freezes or restarts again.

Screen frozen, black, white or not responding

The display may remain black, show an image but not react to touch, freeze during use or stop responding to buttons and controls.

  • Navigation, media or other functions no longer work properly

The unit may start, but navigation, media, Bluetooth, camera functions or other features may fail, load slowly or stop working.

Unit does not start at all

A completely dead unit can have several possible causes. We need the label photo, fault description and ideally a short video before confirming whether it is suitable to send in.

Important note about no-sound faults

Not every Bentley no-sound fault is caused by the RNS 810 head unit.

Some cars are fitted with Naim for Bentley audio or other external audio equipment. In those cars, loss of sound can be related to the amplifier, optical network, vehicle wiring or another part of the system.

If sound is missing from every source, tell us:

  • Does the screen and navigation still work?
  • Is the car fitted with Naim for Bentley audio?
  • Does the unit show any warning message?
  • Has the car had any aftermarket CarPlay, camera or screen module fitted?
  • Can you send a short video of the fault?

This helps avoid sending the wrong part for repair.

  • What causes RNS 810 faults?

Some problems can be related to software or stored data. Others are caused by an internal hardware fault that will not be solved by a reset, battery disconnect or software update.

A unit that repeatedly freezes, reboots, stays on the logo or fails to start needs proper diagnosis. We inspect the original unit and confirm what is realistically repairable before work starts.

We do not promise that every fault can be repaired without first checking the unit and its history.

  • Why repair the original Bentley unit?

Buying a used replacement can look like the easy answer, but it often brings more uncertainty:

    • The used unit may have the same hidden fault.
    • Compatibility depends on the exact part number and vehicle specification.
    • Coding, component protection or setup may be needed.
    • The car may lose its original equipment history.
    • You do not know how the used unit was treated before you bought it.

Repairing the original unit keeps the correct fit, original look and factory controls in the car.

  • Supported RNS 810 unit family

This list is not a guarantee of suitability. Always send a clear label photo before removing or shipping the unit.

2. We confirm whether the unit looks suitable

We check the information and explain the likely route before you send the unit.

Questions before sending your Bentley unit

Is this the same as the earlier Continental GT / VW Phaeton multimedia unit?

No. This page is for selected later Bentley RNS 810 units from the 3W0 035 017* family.

For the earlier 2003–2011 Continental GT, Flying Spur and VW Phaeton multimedia system, see our Bentley Continental GT and VW Phaeton multimedia repair page.

Can you repair a unit stuck on the Bentley logo?

A unit stuck on the Bentley logo may be suitable, but the exact cause must be confirmed after we see the label, symptoms and unit condition.

Can you repair no sound?

Sometimes, but no sound is not always caused by the RNS 810 unit. Cars with Naim for Bentley audio, an external amplifier or optical-network fault need the system checked carefully first.

Do you repair Mulsanne or Bentayga multimedia units?

Not under this service. Send a label photo and details first if you have another Bentley system.

Will I need coding after repair?

We repair the original unit, which gives the best chance of it returning to the car correctly. However, vehicle coding and setup can depend on the exact fault, part number and vehicle specification. We do not promise this before the unit is checked.

Is there a warranty?

Suitable modern repairs receive a 2-year warranty covering the repaired fault and fitted parts. It does not cover unrelated faults, vehicle wiring or power problems, liquid damage, corrosion, incorrect installation or later unauthorised work.

What if the unit has more than one fault?

We will contact you if we find corrosion, previous repair damage, liquid damage, a second fault or anything unexpected inside the unit.

We explain what we found, what needs to be done and the cost before extra work starts. Nothing proceeds without your approval.

Send us a photo of your unit label

A clear label photo is the fastest way to confirm whether your Bentley RNS 810 unit is suitable for repair.

Please also include a short fault video if possible.
